A typical northern Italian dish takes 40 minutes of stirring while those waiting can chat and have a few drinks.

Ben, the patriarch who is looking fantastic for 90+, thinks it will be too soft “You will need a straw to drink it”. Arguments are de rigour.

Heading to Italy for the new year and trying to catch up on some words, Professore Bronson attempts to find the best Italian for “Straw”.

But the old man knows the best taste is off the stick!

The cook eventually gets to hydrate with the best wine, Gherardi Merlot of course!

Polenta the mix of cornmeal and buckwheat. The stew of goat and and a salad of ciccoria. Heart warming.
