Tme well spent!

Sometimes on weekends the vineyard has to come second to spending time with the grandchildren. It always helps to have a plan as to we’ll do because they are high energy kids. On Saturday on their farm we planted beans. First I took them to collect sheep poo from the paddock. Then mixed it with water in a bucket - we called it poo soup. This went into the soil and then I intructed Zeke to make a hole with his finger to put the seed in. Quick as a flash he said “Not in that! I’ll use a stick thanks Pete”.
They turned up last week in the local fire truck - a new and important purchase for the area.

Dante & Ezekiel were totally stoked to have their Dad, a volunteer fire officer bring them around in truck while he was trying to get up the kms so that it could be serviced before the fire season. Come to think of it I had a dad with a truck and used to get to drive around in it as well.
The difference was that it didn’t have lights, sirens and writing all over it as well as a roo bar. It was just a plain old concrete truck.
These two guys love exploring in the bush and river. A perfect life for young kids. Finding and collecting treasures (nuts, stones with sparkles, strange shaped leaves, feathers, bones etc) is a favourite.

Usually return wet, muddy and happy.
