What usually happens after heaps of sun?
For the past few days I have been tracking the long range weather forecasts. At this time of the season rain or hail can cause havoc to ripening grapes as splitting and rots can result. It really is a stressfull time. All the work over the year may be dashed in a few minutes
Yesterday I spent time tracking rain bands on the met bureau’s site. While it rained on and off during the day, it was late in the afternoon when the temp plummeted to 9C and then down it came. It hailed for about 5 minutes!!!!

As yet I am not sure how widespread around Margaret River it was and what damage may have occurred. This information will drift in over the coming days. I’ll keep you all posted
As I have heard somewhere before “that’s farming!”
