How much of this can we all take????
Yes, the first ramblings from Margaret River “Vineman”! I will try to keep you all updated on what is happening in my world of vines, wines and associated stuff.
Everyone knows what a bugger of a season we have had so far. No heat, too much rain, humidity, disease and vintage is late. That bloody annual pain - Botrytis, is lurking deep in the canopy wanting to jump out and hit us where it hurts. Yes, it’s always those whites with tight bunches and worth the most that cop it. Let’s hope that once the nets go on that they stay on and not off again for a spray. Well, don’t dare to look at the weather forecast for next week - potentially, at this stage, a truck load of rain!
I would say we all need to keep our nerve, don’t get rattled and think through all the options. But I can hear you all ask “How much more of this can we take?”
